Last night at 11:47pm EST, the Moon went into its perigee, where it shines 30% brighter and appears 14% larger than usual. This brightness is said to gift us with insight and clarity. Last night, you may have noticed your crown chakra was passing downloads down to your third eye during yoga class — maybe some secrets came to light. For me, personally, an Aries Sun ¹& Mercury…it’s a time of COURAGE. 🦁

Last night (~10:25 PM) I took myself on a hot girl walk. I don’t know why but I really wanted dumplings 🥟 but I turned down the wrong street. Someone called out my name — this beautiful artist I’d met 1️⃣❌ at a party years ago. IDK why she noticed me… maybe it was the light of the moon 👀 She said she’d try to come to my show!

And it got me thinking that the crazy karmic thing about courage is… there’s so many reasons not turn down the street…not to start the conversation… not to hit send on that risky text…😅 so if something as regular-brilliant as the moon can lend you some courage, you oughta take it, every once in a while.

Earlier yesterday I was shook with fear + premature tiredness at the thought of writing another one of these emails in the wee hours of the morning, or heating up my soup one more time, or shoving the camera in my face to record content about the show, or telling yet another stranger/new friend about my show and inviting them to join me on November 8, 9, 16 at The Wild Project. I was sleepy, and most parts of me wanted to just ignore the fact that there will be 3 theaters worth of people watching me perform (and you better be one of them byotch).

But then I remembered about the SUPERMOON — it’s like a really good moon! — how she would be reappearing tonight to give me courage, and how she impacted me so deeply and irrevocably, just two years ago….

So I made this stupid video about me and the Supermoon. Had to find the footage, and cut it and talk into the camera…deciding how much to share, what was spoilers, oh mercy me! And I posted it. Three times! First, it’s humiliating; second, it’s exhilarating — and third, it’s like “wow, I’m possible.” By the 3️⃣❌ you’re like, “This is just a fact now.”

I don’t need to be your news update, but I hope you’re still thinking about our friends in Gaza. This has been a horrific two years of genocide. I hope you’re also following what happened with the Global Sumud Flotilla, and Israel’s appalling, horrific, soulless treatment of the 462 brave and wonderful activists from the world over acting in solidarity to deliver food to Gaza 😭

In this time of deep suppression, it’s such a privilege to even have knowledge of what’s going on. A friend said she feels performative when she shares updates. And I’m not here to tell you how to engage in your activism, (I don’t find it productive for myself to judge others in that way), but there’s never been a better reason to perform! Lights up, bitches (/affectionate).
