it’s sunday night, you are snuggling underneath your warm covers in bed. you’re tired in a good way, a little giddy. your mind is buzzing with warm memories, funny things people said, shared glances, something cute and new you discovered… you think wistfully…“i wish every night could be this fun. i mean…maybe they can be. i hate mondays, but not even mondays are so bad after a night like tonight! i need more nights like these… and i can have them! tomorrow i’m going to follow up!”

there’s something so amazing 🥰 about putting on your own show. there’s nothing like creating a little corner of the world that’s all your own — and when i’m putting together a line-up, it’s like i’m populating my own little fantasy island 🏝️, inhabited only by funny, cool chill people who agree with me about the necessity of creating beauty in the world. 🌍🙏🏽

the not-so-unfortunate side effect of this is that all of these people are super magnetic… and they attract amazing people, and so i already know that i’m going to be a lil overstimulated by glimmering feels on sunday. 😁🥹🦋✨🪩

well, my show, EMOJI: The Hieroglyphs Of Our Time, or how I learned to stop worrying and send the risky text 🤷🏽‍♀️ is lowkey life-changing (according to some nice people…) it’s a TED Talk/musical about human connection and emoji and so much more! i just know that when i’m doing my show, i’m doing what i’m meant to be doing in a way that only i can. and i believe in what my work is saying and doing for its audience. i feel like, spiritually called and aligned to the purpose of making this work. like fuck, how crazy is it to believe in something, let alone yourself? enough to ask for help??? I KNOW. but that’s where i’m at.
